Sensex, Nifty Edge lower in early trade

(RTTNews) – Indian stocks closed lower in early trading on Friday after three straight classes of gains.

The benchmark BSE Sensex shed 333 beneficial properties or 0.4 percent to 76,709 in early alternatives while the broader NSE Nifty index once fell 73 beneficial properties or 0.3 percent to 23,238.

Reliance Industries rose 2.5 percent after posting an epic quarterly profit. Infosys fell 5 percent despite the IT firm reporting strong third-quarter 2025 financials that beat estimates across the board.

Axis Bank fell 4.4 percent as it reported a slight rise in its December quarter profits.

LTIMindtree lost 3pc on reporting a 7.14pc drop in consolidated online profit in Q3, missing estimates.

Spencer’s Retail jumped 3.2 percent after narrowing its quarterly online loss. Solar Pharmaceutical rose 1.2pc after its Taro Prescribed tablets subsidiary agreed to acquire Antibe Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech company based essentially in Ontario, Canada.
